The complex of salt industry.

It is a part of the Ust-Borovsk plant in Solekamsk which was built by industrialist Ryzancev in 1882-1888.

 This complex consists of a brine tower, salt box, varnitsa and salt barn

The brine tower worked for taking out salty water of the ground. It was placed above the salt well. Its height is 12 m., there was a wood chimney inside.

The salt water streamed into the saltbox through this chimney.

The saltbox was necessary for accumulating and allocation this salt water. Its value is 203 m3.,  it is a square curb covered the board roof. Its walls were fixed with vertical logs placed of pares tightened with hoops like a barrel. This box is only one removed here as a whole. Logs were cemented with salt.

Varnica was destining for salt decoction. Salt was kept in salt barns. Such barns have huge proportions.
